  • City Park: Home to a sculpture garden, botanical gardens, and more. (Personal Favorite!)

  • Audubon Park and Zoo: A great spot for a walk and to see some animals. 

  • Audubon Aquarium: Great alternative for a rainy day

  • City Walking Tours: All different themes from architecture, to ghost tours, to some of New Orleans's historic cemeteries 

Historical and Cultural Sites

  • Whitney Plantation: A powerful and moving experience 

  • Historic New Orleans Collection: Free and fascinating exhibits covering the city's history. 

  • National World War II Museum: Considered one of the finest museums in the country.

  • Backstreet Cultural Museum: A deep dive into the cultural traditions of New Orleans. 

Food (I'm keeping it general because it lives up to the hype!)

  • Crawfish Boils: It's peak crawfish season in early March, check out the Crawfish App for local go to spots

  • Brunch: No one does this better than New Orleans

  • Local Cuisine: Po-boys, beignets, jambalaya, BBQ

  • Pastries & Local Coffee shops: Skip the Starbucks and go for local.  You will not regret it.
